NGA awards $290 million Luno A commercial data contract

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia – The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency announced the selection of 10 vendors to acquire unclassified commercial GEOINT-derived computer vision and analytic service capabilities.

The selected vendors are:

  • Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc.
  • Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation
  • BlackSky Geospatial Solutions, Inc.
  • BlueHalo, LLC
  • CACI, Inc. Federal
  • Electromagnetic Systems, Inc. 
  • Maxar Intelligence, Inc. 
  • NV5 Geospatial, Inc. 
  • Royce Geospatial Consultants, Inc.
  • Ursa Space Systems, Inc.

Luno A provides national security community users with access to the commercial data and analytic services that add new context to analytic assessments by characterizing things such as worldwide economic, environmental and military activities. Deliverables will be driven by validated user requirements, mission-specific and responsive to the community’s needs. 

The contract will leverage industry’s commercial computer vision and artificial intelligence capabilities to augment existing capabilities and will integrate directly into analytic workflows for operational use.

A five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a $290 million ceiling, Luno A focuses on monitoring global economic and environmental activity and military capabilities through commercial GEOINT-derived computer vision and analytic service capabilities. The vendors will compete on a full and open basis for future delivery orders.
