About Next NGA West

Next NGA West is a large-scale construction project that will build a new facility for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in St. Louis, Missouri.

This $1.7B project is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and executed by McCarthy HITT Joint Venture, with oversight by NGA and the U.S. Air Force. The 97-acre project site is located in the historic St. Louis Place neighborhood at the intersection of Jefferson and Cass avenues.

When complete, the campus will include a 700,000-square-foot office building, two parking garages, a visitor center, a delivery inspection facility and secure entrance/exit points. The staff of 3,150 will move from their current Soulard, St. Louis, location to the Next NGA West in 2026.

Employee-focused amenities

Next NGA West (N2W) will have a modern cafeteria, fitness center, meeting spaces, quiet areas and garage parking with capacity to hold 90 percent of the workforce's vehicles.

Energy efficient, healthy & sustainable building and surroundings

A LEED Silver certification building using healthy materials and liquids, surrounded by a green campus of trees and grassy areas mixed with sustainable local prairie fields and walking paths.

Innovation and Learning spaces

N2W will have a learning center with spaces to provide educational forums and academic events with area students. An innovation center will serve as a collaboration lab with a flexible environment for emerging technology, such as application development with nontraditional partners.

Partnering and technology solutions

Our vision for Next NGA West: An "open" facility that promotes collaborative partnerships with a mix of integrative workspaces. N2W has modified portions of its existing campus to grow collaboration with current and new mission partners, and to test and demonstrate new solutions in an unclassified space.
